I attributed that to his age. But in these 1983 spots, he sounds exactly like vintage 1961-62 T.C.

The FLINTSTONES spot has a generous helping of classic H-B SFX, which became more and more scarce in the studios' cartoons by 1990. And many of the Post Cereal ads made through the 70s and 80s didn't look or sound like H-B cartoons at all. So this spot is a breath of fresh air.Howard Feinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-27035255971087359162011-08-25T15:23:29.562-07:002011-08-25T15:23:29.562-07:00I was just thinking about Top Cat's 50th, the ...I was just thinking about Top Cat's 50th, the day that this article appeared, after that Flinstone article, and was glad to see another TC article.Enjoyed that clip. Thanks very much for the story.:) SteveSChttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001249396142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-4284871293803976662011-08-25T12:46:50.315-07:002011-08-25T12:46:50.315-07:00Yowp: those are just great. Normally cats don't have ATM cards, and certainly crooked conniving cats like Top Cat wouldn't have one. Oh, he might have an ATM card, but it wouldn't be his own. When I watched it, I literally reached for my wallet to make sure my bank card was still there!Tom Rueggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16509448730816934205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-58411328459751555702011-08-24T14:05:39.576-07:002011-08-24T14:05:39.576-07:00Speaking of Top Cat, I was wondering if you had po...Speaking of Top Cat, I was wondering if you had posted any Top Cat model sheets or if there are any.Amanda H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08167114019743960144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-15253491986206735702011-08-24T08:33:42.843-07:002011-08-24T08:33:42.843-07:00To my eye, it looks like the Top Cat spots may hav...To my eye, it looks like the Top Cat spots may have been drawn by the same crew that worked on the 1985 Jetsons revival, as the characters' movements and expressions are similar to those. While it's hard to tell with the picture quality of the clips, the brightness of the colors looks like these were colored with HB's computer coloring system used on those Jetsons shows as well.Debbiehttp://www.fluffyandmervin.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-21236773133736271032011-08-24T06:59:04.330-07:002011-08-24T06:59:04.330-07:00Love it!!! Good thing they were able to get Stang and Kaplan. Too bad Jenkins and Gosfield had passed by that time.Errolnoreply@blogger.com
