That misspelling annoyed me when I was a kid... perhaps they were trying to avoid a trademark suit.rnigmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01370724366178429029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-64367995349948800912017-11-25T21:09:45.013-08:002017-11-25T21:09:45.013-08:00Love it. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved the use of classic cartoon characters by businesses, especially small businesses. I don’t know why; I just find it endearing. Near where I live, there is a little place called Jimco Windows. I think they windows they either sell or used to sell are Owens-Corning products, because for years they had on one of their outside walls a painting of the Pink Panther looking out a window. When I was a kid, I used to get a thrill passing by that place and seeing the Pink Panther. In recent years, they’ve painted it over, either because they no longer sell Owens-Corning windows or because the painting was getting too deteriorated, or both. Whatever the reason, the kid inside me now gets a little sad and sighs whimsicallly whenever I drive past the building.Sérgio Gonçalves https://www.blogger.com/profile/06629564277385996362noreply@blogger.com
