The versions with individual opening and closing titles were designed for use in later syndicated "packages" (I saw them on WNEW-TV, New York from September 1966 through the early '70s, at least), and possibly some limited theatrical release, either in Europe or the U.S.bgraumanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07481033911573623806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-90599070264569191852011-04-14T17:22:19.424-07:002011-04-14T17:22:19.424-07:00"Yowp-Yowp" Dodsworth,

It's possible the credit is wrong, but the only time I've seen incorrect credits is when the credits of one cartoon are put on another.

After seeing Sommer was at the studio in time for the '59-60 season, I'm not surprised to find other artists arrived earlier than was thought.Yowphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09264605351878574044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-54218704355397155422011-04-11T13:43:37.424-07:002011-04-11T13:43:37.424-07:00I'm a little perplexed by the animation credit...I'm a little perplexed by the animation credit for Paul Sommer in "Gun Shy Gal", having never seen him animate for any H-B production; just story and animation direction. Likewise, I thought Robert Bentley joined the studio for the fall 1961 production season on strictly Curtin-scored cartoons. To my semi-trained eyes, it appears that Art Davis animated both "Gal" and "Rabbit" along with "Extra Special Extra" and "El Kabong Junior".

As for the others:

"Bullet Proof Galoot": Don Patterson
"Shooting Room Only" and "El Kabong Was Wrong": Lew Marshall
"Baba Bait": Don Williams
"The Mark Of El Kabong": Bob Carr
"Big Town El Kabong": Hicks Lokey

Those are my opinions; feel free to refute.Howard Feinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-870122473410675272011-04-10T21:22:53.999-07:002011-04-10T21:22:53.999-07:00A great list, Yowp, these things are wonderful. I would suspect 'Lyin Lion' has the exact same credits as 'El Kazing' and 'Kabong Kabongs Kabong' with Nick, Clint, and Bob.Zartok-35https://www.blogger.com/profile/00449976580118722879noreply@blogger.com
