More likely, his composing involvement with anything original past 1966 (you heard a lot of JONNY QUEST cues in later adventure cartoons) was only the themes. Lots of stuff in the '70s was bland, if listenable, but by the '80s, it's difficult to fathom how Hoyt could have been okay with it even as musical director, or have conducted stuff like KWICKY KOALA with its embarrassing synthesizer squeaks and grunts, showing to me, at least, a studio willing to cut costs at every turn. This revelation (for me) explains a great deal about the precipitous decline from what H-B sounded like in that first decade.

Also, Merry Christmas and many thanks for another fine year of postings!Mike Tiefenbacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04102752875776872720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-84760356332371239682018-12-25T10:28:49.559-08:002018-12-25T10:28:49.559-08:00Merry Christmas and thanks for the Curtin story an...Merry Christmas and thanks for the Curtin story and music!

Your Pal,

DougYour Pal Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08307726382524899542noreply@blogger.com
