In "The Short Happy Life Of Maurice Dribble," among the many library music numbers played at 78 RPM (from a 33⅓ RPM disc) was listed on IMDb in relation to "The Best of Benny Hill" feature film as "Foxtrot." It is possible that may be cue OK-450 ("Pleasant Neutral Foxtrot - Medium"), but would anyone who knows their stock music and various libraries know for sure?wbhisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270661237413315760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-334826608134452532015-07-02T20:57:49.839-07:002015-07-02T20:57:49.839-07:00Did Mr Bluestone have any children. [Not that you have to watch the flick, and the cues are buried in the soundtrack.]

They were very prolific composers. I...Steve, thanks again for your help with the cues. I've added 'Hide and Seek.' Whoever cut the sound (Greg Watson?) used this really well in 'Pet Vet.' Huck is lowering a rope, and the cutter goes to the portion of the bed where it does a descent down the scale. It's not timed exactly to the music but it's as close as anyone's going to get with stock music.
A lot of these cues sound so similar that it's hard for me to tell one from another.Yowphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09264605351878574044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-17595295978391720432009-11-23T23:55:05.192-08:002009-11-23T23:55:05.192-08:00The Emil Cadkin and Harry Bluestone C & B cues...The Emil Cadkin and Harry Bluestone C & B cues wound up on Augie more than on the other two Quick Draw series segments, though "Ruff and Reddy" used anoher, used on WB's "Hook, Line & Stinker" when Wile E.Coyote is working with bundled TNT, "Puzzled Pup", and yet another one used on all of the Quick Draw segments on a Huck cartoon, "Pet Vet", titled "Hide and Seek".

Excellent overload of information.:)Pokeyhttp://sjcarrasblog.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-30294417844627225252009-11-23T19:57:20.937-08:002009-11-23T19:57:20.937-08:00Hi, Errol. I hesitate to get into a discussion about this because it'll end up turning into a shopping list of cues on a shopping list of TV shows, or long posts about Gumby, which is really straying off the subject of the cues viz-a-viz HB cartoons.

I can only guess Joe and Bill wanted a bit of a different sound to the Quick Draw shows so that's why Augie ended up with these cues that, mostly, weren't used on the other HB half-hour show.Yowphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09264605351878574044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-38993813386555168862009-11-23T07:31:55.664-08:002009-11-23T07:31:55.664-08:00Thanks for the Harry Bluestone-Emil Cadkin cues. Yes all you have to do is watch any episode of " Dennis The Menace " ala Screen Gems, or Warner's " Hook, Line & Stinker " during the musicians strike, and there are the Bluestone-Cadkin cues. Also Clokey used a few for " Gumby " and " Davey and Goliath "( A cue from the Carlin archives titled " End piece " and " Late Entrance " are heard in " Davey & Goliath " and " The Donna Reed Show ".Oh and I happen to have one of the Capitol Bugs Bunny Albums with Mel Blanc. Great blog. Love the " Music Cue " series you're doing.Errolnoreply@blogger.com
