One of Elroy's classmates had his wrist TV and was watching " The Millionth re-run of The Flintstones ". They showed a five second clip of Fred and Barney getting into some sort of mess. It wasn't taken from the actual show. They must have had Alan and Mel go into the studio, lay down their lines , " Wild ", and the editor took care of it later. Very Funny cross-plug.Errolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-11118048827418356892009-10-05T10:51:50.371-07:002009-10-05T10:51:50.371-07:00There was one other in-cartoon cameo in the early ...There was one other in-cartoon cameo in the early H-B days. The Snagglepuss episode "Remember The Daze" finds our hero cavorting about a TV studio where THE YOGI BEAR SHOW happens to be filming. We get several seconds of footage, and lines of dialogue from Yogi and Boo-Boo (who don't actually interact with Snag).Howard Feinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-11663573697514877222009-10-05T07:56:29.624-07:002009-10-05T07:56:29.624-07:00Also, I'll never forget in an 1963 Episode of ...Also, I'll never forget in an 1963 Episode of " The Flinstones ", Yogi made a brief cameo. The Episode was " Swedish Visitors " I also enjoyed the cameos or cross plugs in the early days of Hanna-Barbera. Yowp, I totally agree. The " Yogi's Ark " type stuff from the late seventies and early eighties were total disasters. How many classic H-B characters can we stick in one TV movie and get preachy to the kids about something. I made it through about...oh..maybe ten minutes of one of those before I felt like looking for an air sick bag.Errolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-24199855577272023052009-10-05T06:04:51.100-07:002009-10-05T06:04:51.100-07:00Yowp...

I've been in animation for almost 15 years now (10 years as an animator, and now 5 as a board artist) and tend to get pretty wiped by the end of each project. Looking at your blog is ALWAYS inspiring... reminds me to not over complicate things and keep my staging as simple as possible.

I know it's a lot of work for you to keep up a blog like this, but I just wanted to let you know that your efforts are appreciated!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-44998563399001327692009-10-03T19:22:10.259-07:002009-10-03T19:22:10.259-07:00In Bob McKimson's "Rushing Roulette"...In Bob McKimson's "Rushing Roulette" (1965, considered by many to be the best of the DePatie-Freleng Roadrunners) Williams may well have animated the Acme Sproing Boots sequence -- in which Wile E.'s ears are active.Tonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17446855706531749726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403931334822730200.post-47060344414013214382009-10-03T10:27:01.752-07:002009-10-03T10:27:01.752-07:00Don Williams is clearly parcticing for the Yogi Be...Don Williams is clearly parcticing for the Yogi Bear cartoon 'Queen Bee for a Day'.
